The Tactical Hi-Vest and Modular Assault Pack in A-TACS FG Camo from Agilite Gear

Tactical_hi_vest_atacs_FG_IMG_9974The Tactical Hi-Vest and Modular Assault Pack (AMAP) from Agilite is the ultimate full combat load-bearing system and now it is not only available in A-TACS AU Camo but in the FG variant as well.. Used by IDF combat units, they are available together for a limited time only at a special discounted price. The Agilite Tactical Hi-Vest and Agilite Modular Assault Pack (AMAP) have an on-off relationship. Working together as one product and yet instantly detaching and re-attaching, they form an all-round combat load out designed to keep the operator fully loaded and yet versatile and light and maneuverable.

atacs_agilite_6405-(2)The Tactical Hi-Vest can fit up to 12 thirty round M4 magazines and includes a binoculars/night vision goggles tether, a pull strip for storing spare batteries, a 7″ knife sheath, a compass pouch and compartments for storing radio codes, chemlights, a compass and much more.  The Tactical Hi-Vest is designed to integrate with the Agilite Modular Assault Pack (AMAP™) for an additional 15 liters of load-bearing real estate that attaches/detaches in seconds without the bulk of an external day pack

The Modular Assault Pack (AMAP™) completely absolves the need for a separate day pack. Rather than having to thread MOLLE webbing, the AMAP can be detached instantaneously when entering a vehicle or wearing a larger backpack, and re-attaches just as quickly. Having the AMAP attach directly to the operators plate carrier or load-bearing vest means no extra shoulder straps and less bulk for better air-flow and range of motion in the shoulder areas.

New from Plano, Tackle Boxes in A-TACS AU Camo

plano_atacs_bag

Word has it that in the days following the Iraq war, U.S. military members relieved stress by wetting a line in the private lakes of none other than Saddam Hussein. Not surprisingly short on tackle, these brave angling soldiers fashioned their own hooks, whittled lures and scavenged odd forms of livebait from the Iraqi desert. Some interesting fish were caught, and for a few hours, the defenders of our freedom relived a passion they’d left at home, but never truly forgotten.

It’s in honor of these service men and women around the world that Plano has designed new military-themed tackle bags—tough-as-armor 3700 and 3600 Military Bags. Constructed with a durable canvas that’s reminiscent of an army rucksack, these fully armed soft bags include two 3700- or 3600-size StowAway® Utility Boxes and feature four external zippered pockets, as well as an adjustable shoulder strap.

Adorned with the exclusive emblems of the Military Warriors Support Foundation (MWSF), Plano Military Bags make a statement that supports this special organization. Providing recreational fishing, hunting and other family outings for wounded military members, the goal of the MWSF is to give back and thank these men and women for loyal service to their country.

To further demonstrate Plano’s military appreciation and support, these striking Military Bags wear specialized A-Tacs camo – the same tactical Arid/Urban pattern that has proven itself in a variety of outdoor environments.

Soldiers have since talked about the strange monster fish lurking in Saddam’s lakes. If only they’d been armed with Plano Military Bags and StowAway boxes stuffed with their favorite fishing tackle. Available through select Plano retailers. For more information and availability, contact Plano at 800-226-9868 or, visit them online at www.planomolding.com

Schott Performance Fabrics and Digital Concealment Systems announce the addition of off-shore produced A-TACS Camo fabrics

achott_atacs_fabric2

In response to growing worldwide demand, Digital Concealment Systems and Schott Performance Fabrics are pleased to announce that in addition to their full range of U.S. produced Berry Amendment compliant A-TACS Camo fabrics, they are now offering a full range of A-TACS Camo fabrics produced off-shore.  These fabrics are produced to the same exacting standard as the U.S.-produced fabrics and are made available to international and domestic manufacturers who do not require Berry Amendment compliant goods for their production. Available fabrics include a full compliment of Nylon, Cotton, Poly/Cotton and Polyester goods in a varity of fabric weights and construction.

Many international manufacturers of A-TACS Camo products now have the option to source their fabrics ‘closer to the cutter’. This will allow for shorter lead times and significantly lower fabric costs.  It also affords significant savings on international shipping and material costs for the end gear manufacturer.

This new option also benefits European and Asian manufacturers who sell in non-military channels. Now they have the option to source GENUINE A-TACS Camo fabrics at a lower cost.  This option also benefits many smaller manufacturers, especially with low minimum order requirements on fabric–and it will replace the poorly made, poorly constructed counterfeit fabric that is currently on the market.

Counterfeit camouflage fabrics have been a problem for every major camouflage brand since the beginnings of the industry. Cheaply and poorly produced overseas pattern knock-offs are a continuing issue for everyone from Crye Precision, to the US Goverment, to us here at DCS. Each time a counterfeiter is pursued through legal channels, a new one pops up, perpetuating the problem. This new fabric option will allow manufacturers currently engaged in producing A-TACS Camo gear using poor quality counterfeit fabrics the option to switch over and begin using legitimately produced A-TACS Camo fabrics. Schott Performance Fabrics is the ONLY legitimate source for genuine A-TACS Camo fabrics. If the fabric was purchased from anywhere else, it is the product of a counterfeiter.

In the coming months, Digital Concealment Systems will be ramping up it’s legal pursuit of both manufactures and retailers engaged in the production and sale of counterfeit items in A-TACS Camo. Additionally, DCS will also be calling out manufacturers and retailers dealing in and manufacturing counterfeit A-TACS Camo gear.

For additional information, sourcing questions and availability, contact Denise Barrick dbarrick@schottfabrics.com or Bryan Merrick bmerrick@schottfabrics.com at Schott Performance Fabrics (330)784-4545 or visit them on the web at www.schottfabrics.com.
