New C2Rmor Plate Carriers in A-TACS

UK-Based C2R FAST was founded in 2009 to bring new concepts and improved equipment to market based on hard-won field experience. TacPads – a well designed and simple GRG holder featuring an innovative ultra low glare backlit writing surface, was the first product born of this idea. Tacpads were first put to trial by many of their UK customers and as a result, the product has quickly established itself through it’s simple utility. TacPads are now also being operated by groups within US Army. They later introduced larger TacBoards for use by medics, loadmasters and jump masters and quickly established themselves as a true leader in the design and development of specialized tactical gear.
With the relative success of the introductory products, they began to turn their attention to other types of gear. They noticed that many plate carriers in service had some fundamental weaknesses, so they set out to make improvements. C2RMOR is the result, and while it has distinct operational and durability benefits, there are side benefits for equipment planners. During the initial research and development phase of the program, they came across many ex-servicemen who are suffering back problems from the weights they were required to carry in the field. As a result, they decided to adapt their plate carriers to incorporate a load distribution system to transfer weight from the shoulders to the hips without compromising the ability of soldiers to move naturally.
c2RMOR LITE followed the original C2RMOR platform as a clean-fatigue design for use in more covert applications. They kept the design flexibility concept, but instead of being able to configure the base plate carriers as in the C2RMOR, the LITE allows for a clean, simple way to add pouches or reconfigure the unit for different operational needs.
C2RMOR Modular Plate Carrier
The C2RMOR modular plate carrier is easily configurable for a wide range of missions – from full on CT and Urban to parachute options. Lightweight cumberbunds are also available for this model. To eject the inner plates, simply pull the two quick-release tabs on the front plate carrier
The corner pieces, are normally fitted with level III soft armour to give a stand-off from the body For the main hard plates – so a plate stop becomes an option. Also, the arrangement creates an air gap that allows cool air to circulate.
C2RMOR Lite
The C2RMOR Lite features a detachable AMMO pouch on the front to leave a clean fatigue style vest. Side pockets are integrated into the A-TACS printed elastic to allow for additional magazine storage. The back panel can be easily mated to their hydration pocket which is built around a source 2LPS water carrier.
C2RMOR LITE is designed to be a clean fatigue, lower profile vest for carrying a system stop plate arrangement. The absence of gear loops on the side strapping is deliberate to maintain the narrow design and allow more ease of movement.

Propper TAC-U Combat Shirt in A-TACS available in September

The new A-TACS TAC.U Combat Shirt by Propper is loaded with features including pocketed shoulders that allow for the addition of extra padding, a fastener on the rear of the collar for nametape, zippered pockets on the sleeves, thumb holes and loop fasteners on the cuffs, pouches on the outside of the elbows for pads, and gusseted underarms. The sleeves will be manufactured with a 65/35 poly/cotton battlerip and a Ripstop weave, and the body of the shirt has a 60/40 knitted cotton/poly mix and is also fully decked out in A-TACS for near total coverage. This item is currently available for pre-order through several A-TACS retailers and is expected to begin shipping in September.

SORD, USA and A-TACS introduce the Variable Armor Carrier (VAC)
The VAC is the most versatile carrier in the SORD armor carrier range. It can be worn as a plate carrier offering protection to the front and rear, cutting weight and profile. With wings and soft armor inserts added they incorporate the plate carrier set up into a full armor carrier. The sides can be added or subtracted as the user requires. The side wings can hold soft armor inserts as well as small hard plates.
With the single jettison handle, quick system cut-away is achieved in emergency casualty access, maritime / aircraft accident, WMD decontamination situations. The four cable jettison system activates much faster and more effectively than previous designs. Mil-spec mesh material has been used as the backing face to reduce weight and provide breathability of the armor in hot environments to avoid mildew build up. A-TACS camouflage provides enhanced concealment using a greater range of intermingled natural colors. The base color is a neutral tan, designed to blend effortlessly in urban, rocky or arid environments. The patented A-TACS process creates a more natural camouflage appearance by replacing digital square pixels with small organically shaped pixels. SAFARILAND INTRODUCES SPEEDFEED STOCKS in A-TACS®
Safariland, a BAE Systems line of business, introduces select SPEEDFEED I and SPEEDFEED III shotgun stocks now available in A-TACS.
The new stocks debuted at the NASGW Show, and are in response to demand from law enforcement, military and consumers for shotgun stocks that match uniforms and natural environments.
The new camouflage patterns are applied hydrographically, while the Flat Dark Earth models are molded in that color.
Molded from 30 percent glass-filled polymer for strength and durability, SPEEDFEED I and SPEEDFEED III stocks feature magazine tubes on the side of the butt stock that hold a total of four 2 ¾”
shot shells, two on each side, making extra shells or different loads instantly accessible. Shells are held in place with steel springs, holding them securely until needed.
SPEEDFEED I shotgun stock sets are made in a traditional shotgun butt stock configuration, with checkering for a secure grip. Stock sets include a butt stock, forend and recoil pad.
